I came to the Social Democratic Party District office at approximately 10 am. I drank coffee with the staff, went down stairs, drove with Social Democrat Women and their bus to Kviberg´s market. There are so many market stands at Kviberg with food, clothing, books. Maybe I was there today for the fourth time. So many people are gathering there and there are so many language groups represented: Spanishtalking, Persiantalking, Kurd talking, Arabic talking, Swedish talking, Azerbajani talking.
For two hours we were talking to people, made one member, delivering leaf lets. It is a democratic act and democracy must always be defended. Nelson Mandela waited for so long before he was granted the right to vote. The election in question is the Vastra Gotaland election. It involves 49 communes and 1,6 million people, the third biggest parliament in Sweden. All over town in Gothenburg, Social Democratic Women, Social Democrats, Social Democratic Youth, gather to knock on doors, have square market public relations, phone activities.
If the Social Democrats again get the power, together with Left Party (Vänsterpartiet) and Green Party (Miljöpartiet), with some cooperation from Health Care Party (Sjukvårdspartiet), the Social Democrats want to increase the age for dental care from 21 years to 25 years. All children and all old people will have medical care in their homes. That is two of the promises the Social Democrats want to do.
